SONOFF 32A Basic DIN Rail Zigbee Smart Switch – BASIC-ZB1GSP
SONOFF 32A Basic DIN Rail Zigbee Smart Switch – BASIC-ZB1GSP
Smart 32A Circuit Control with Real-Time Energy Monitoring
Upgrade your electrical distribution board with the SONOFF BASIC-ZB1GSP, a high-power 32A Zigbee smart switch designed for DIN rail installation.
It provides smart ON/OFF control, real-time monitoring of voltage, current, power and energy consumption, plus configurable protection limits. With its double-pole switching design, both live and neutral can be disconnected for enhanced electrical isolation.
32A High-Power Switching
Rated for loads up to 32A / 7,680W at 240V, the BASIC-ZB1GSP is designed for higher-power circuits such as:
- Water heaters
- Heating systems
- Heat pumps
- Large appliances
- High-power equipment
- Selected EV charging applications
Always ensure the complete electrical installation, cabling and protective devices are correctly rated for the intended load.
Real-Time Energy Monitoring
Monitor your electrical consumption directly through your compatible smart-home system.
The BASIC-ZB1GSP can track:
- Voltage
- Current
- Power
- Energy consumption
Energy data can be stored and exported, helping you understand consumption and identify opportunities to reduce electricity usage.
Built-In Overload Protection
Set maximum thresholds for current, voltage and power. If a configured limit is exceeded, the device can automatically switch off the load.
This provides an additional layer of protection and control, but does not replace the required circuit breaker or other electrical protection equipment.
Double-Pole Safety Switching
Unlike a simple single-pole switch, the BASIC-ZB1GSP uses double-pole switching, disconnecting both the live and neutral conductors for full physical isolation when switched off.
Zigbee 3.0 Connectivity
The device uses Zigbee 3.0, providing reliable wireless communication and allowing it to form part of a larger smart-home or automation network.
It can also operate as a Zigbee router, helping extend Zigbee network coverage to other compatible devices.
Ideal for Smart Greenhouse & Equipment Control
For greenhouse, hydroponic and agricultural applications, this switch can be used as part of an automated control system.
For example:
Temperature rises → smart sensor detects it → Zigbee automation activates ventilation.
Or:
Scheduled irrigation/heating cycle → BASIC-ZB1GSP switches the connected equipment on → energy consumption is recorded.
It can therefore be particularly useful where you want to combine smart environmental sensors with automated control of higher-power equipment.

Important Installation Information
Professional installation is required.
This product is designed to be installed inside an electrical distribution board on a standard DIN rail. It must be correctly protected by the appropriate upstream circuit-breaker/protection equipment and installed according to applicable electrical regulations.
Installation must be carried out by a suitably qualified/certified electrician.
Zigbee Hub Required
The BASIC-ZB1GSP requires a compatible Zigbee hub/coordinator to connect it to your smart-home system.
It can be used within compatible Zigbee ecosystems and with third-party platforms supporting Zigbee 3.0.
Important: Because the device is normally installed inside a metal distribution board, the metal enclosure can reduce Zigbee wireless range. For installations where signal strength is a concern, position the Zigbee coordinator appropriately and use powered Zigbee devices/router nodes to build a stronger mesh network.
